BARTENDER

Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, outgoing, and service‑oriented Bartender to join our team at the Rochester Ice Center. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong mixology skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting drinks, maintaining a clean and organized bar, and providing exceptional customer service in a fun and fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide friendly, attentive service and engage with customers to create a positive atmosphere.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately.
  • Take and process food and beverage orders through the point‑of‑sale system.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and kitchen areas at all times.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper alcohol service.
  • Monitor bar inventory and communicate supply needs to the supervisor.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and issue correct change and receipts.
  • Respond to customer concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Set up and break down bar areas before and after shifts.
  • Restock coolers and bar supplies as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous bartending experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Accurate cash‑handling and basic math skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with bar equipment (mixers, blenders, beer taps, etc.).
  • Food safety and alcohol service certifications (e.g., ServSafe, TIPS).

Work Environment:

  • Prolonged standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs).
  • Busy and noisy environment, especially during events.
  • Flexible schedule required, including evenings and weekends.

Pay Rate:

  • $13.50 – $15.00 per hour plus tips (based on experience)

Snack Bar/Concession Attendant

Job Summary:

The Snack Bar / Concession Stand Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for guests at the Rochester Ice Center. This role includes preparing and serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized concession area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Take customer orders and process payments using the point-of-sale system.
  • Prepare and serve food items, such as snacks, beverages, and quick meals.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the snack bar and concession area.
  • Restock inventory and supplies as needed.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
  • Address customer questions, concerns, and complaints, escalating to the supervisor if necessary.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of the concession stand before and after shifts.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to the supervisor.
  • Ensure all equipment is used safely and properly maintained.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in food service or a concession stand preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment:

  • This position requires prolonged periods of standing, walking, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • The work environment can be busy and noisy, especially during events.
  • The Snack Bar / Concession Stand Attendant will be expected to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate the facility's schedule and events.

Pay Rate:

  • $15.00 - $18.00 per hour based on experience

Position Overview
Rochester Ice Center is seeking a motivated and experienced Line Cook to join our dynamic food and beverage team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high‑quality meals and snacks for our patrons—including players, families, and event attendees. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast‑paced, energetic environment that combines great food with community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation and Cooking:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all dishes are presented attractively and meet quality and safety guidelines.

Kitchen Operations:

  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout shifts.
  • Assist in stocking and rotating food supplies to ensure freshness and availability.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
  • Follow proper food handling practices to maintain a safe dining environment.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure seamless operations.
  • Assist with special event menus and catering services as needed.

Customer Focus:

  • Ensure a positive experience for all customers through timely and accurate food preparation.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role preferred.
